Hello friends!
You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet on the internet front the last few months, and for good reason. On April 2, I gave birth to my first baby!
Introducing Elouise Madrone:
She’s been keeping me very busy, tired and happy. I think we’re close to perfecting a configuration where she sleeps on my lap while I balance my laptop on the arm of my chair and type with one hand. My next book may be written entirely one-handed.
Speaking of books….
My new book OVER YOU comes out June 4th! You can pre-order it HERE. And read a Sneak Peek HERE. And stay tuned for info about the release party.
But even sooner than that, my book CRAZY comes out in paperback May 21! Order your copy HERE. And look at what I just got in the mail:
Maybe I should give away a few copies soon….
And now, last but not least, I am excited to officially announce that I just signed a contract for a two-book YA series with Katherine Tegen Books (Harper Teen/Harper Collins)! Here’s the announcement from Publishers Weekly:
Author of BEAUTIFUL and CRAZY Amy Reed’s new two-book series, INVINCIBLE, pitched as Go Ask Alice meets The Fault in Our Stars, about a teenage girl who survives a terminal cancer diagnosis, only to get trapped in the deadly spiral of addiction, and the boy who would do anything to save her, to Anica Rissi at Katherine Tegen Books, by Amy Tipton at Signature Literary Agency (world).
Woohoo! So excited to be working with Anica and her team!
Now back to the baby and one-handed writing….
Love,
Amy

Hi Amy! congratulations! She is beautiful. I read “beautiful” when it first came out and I really liked it. I only recently discovered “clean”. I finished reading it in a day…. Oh my gosh. I LOVE it. You are my new favorite author. I am fifteen and I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was ten years old. Throughout the years, I’ve studied different writing styles and I’ve tried to find an author whose style best depicts the type of writer I want to mimic/imitate/be. I…LOVE…your writing. I really want to be a writer, even though everyone tells me it’s not a realistic goal, which, honestly, it probably isn’t. All I really know is that reading and writing gives me joy. I want to make a career out of it. I want to succeed and excel in it. I want to have the courage to do what you’ve done, and I want to be able to make people feel the emotions that YOU have made ME feel through your writings. I feel a deep connection with some of your characters, they just feel so… real. More so than with other stories I’ve read in the past. Like Kelly for example, I feel like I can relate to her in certain ways. How she felt bad being in that place because the others had an excuse, but she didn’t? And with Jason, how he felt like he was a monster, believed he was, but he was really a good person. I think the reason why his character felt so real and genuine was because he WAS, partially, a monster. He’s not perfect. It makes him feel more real. Wow, I’m rambling. I’m trying not to. I’m sorry. I just have so much that I want to tell you. I guess I’ll just end with–Thank you. Thank you so much.
Your biggest fan,
Brooklyn

Hello! I read clean and I really connected to it but I can’t find any more books. Is there any way you can send me copies of beautiful, crazy, and over you. I would be so happy you are the only author I really like. I’m 15 and live in Pennsylvania. Thank you for listening!

I’m not able to send you free books, but I suggest you check your local library. If they don’t have it, you can ask them to order it. You can also buy all my books online at Amazon and other bookstores.
