THE NOWHERE GIRLS comes out in FOUR MONTHS! I am so excited to share this book that is so close to my heart. And I don’t know about you, but I think stories of girls coming together to resist rape culture and sexism are pretty damn important right now.

Saturday, June 24:
9:15 – 10:00 am: Strong Female Voices in Publishing for MG and YA: (PopTop stage, Convention Exhibit Hall) Hear from four strong female voices in middle-grade and young adult publishing—authors Hena Khan, Christa Desir, Sandhya Menon, and Amy Reed. Panel moderated by Liesa Abrams, VP, Editorial Director at Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing.
10:15-11:00 am: Crafting Kid-Lit Anthologies (PopTop stage, Convention Exhibit Hall): YA author and literary agent Eric Smith (author of Inked, Bloomsbury and Welcome Home, Flux) and celebrated book blogger and author Kelly Jensen (editor for Book Riot, author of the anthology Feminism for the Real World), will lead a discussion about the challenges of putting together an anthology with multiple writers across genres. They will be joined by YA author Amy Reed (Our Stories, Our Voices, Simon Pulse), author Kate Watson (Seeking Mansfield and contributor to Welcome Home, Flux) and author and Scholastic rep Preeti Chibber (contributor to Legendary, Greenwillow).
